Usain Bolt World Athletics Championships Schedule this year

Usain Bolt will be competing in 3 events in this years World Athletics Championships in Daego, South Korea. Should Bolt reach the final in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay he will most likely have competed in 7 races by the time the Championship ends.

Bolt is exempt from the preliminary round of the 100m, as only athletes put forward by their country without achieving a qualifying time (all countries can enter an athlete in each event) race in this preliminary round.

Bolt starts the defence of his 100m title in the heats on Saturday 27th August at 13:45 (UK Time). Should he make it safely through the heats, the Semi Final takes place on Sunday 28th at 10:30am (UK Time) with the Final scheduled for 12:45pm (UK Time) on the same day.

The 200m heats start early in the morning on Friday 2nd September at 03:10am (UK Time). Barring injury, Bolt should compete in the 200m Semi Final in the evening session at 11:55am (UK Time) with the Final scheduled for Saturday 3rd September at 13:20 (UK Time).

Usain more than likely won’t compete in the Semi Final of the 4x 100m relay, and will save himself for the final should his Jamaican teammates make it through. The Semi Final is due to start at 11am (UK Time) on Sunday 4th September, with the final taking place 2 hours later at 13:00 (UK Time).
